Earth,
Fragile Earth,
Still your restless hue and cry.
Calm your earthquakes, winds and fires,
Hear your Maker’s patient sigh.
Flock,
Scattered flock,
When the shadows veil your path,
When the starless nights oppress you,
Trust your Shepherd’s rod and staff.
Light,
Rending Light!
Fearful doubt and darkness cease.
Heaven’s door is standing open,
Heed the Voice imparting peace.
Child,
Wondrous Child,
Here for you the God above.
Seek Him swathed in tender Wisdom,
Find His mighty healing Love.
Word,
Living Word,
Light of Life and Morning Star.
Ancient Truths His opened treasures,
Leading home however far.
Earth,
Precious Earth,
Peace from Heaven on you poured.
Only turn in lovingkindness,
Greet the Coming of the Lord!

Clear blue light
Alive in sky above
At play in falling leaves ablaze
It’s beauty felt
In misty grass
A thousand diamond day.
Crisp white light
Adance in air above
Array on snow-strewn path displays
It’s sparkle glints
In footprints pressed
A six-point starry way.
Bright gold light
A flash from Heav’n above
Away in manger there amaze
It’s shining glow
In Saviour’s eyes
His light for our today.
